The 13th Annual Servants of Smiles was a full day of donated dental care, community support, and hands-on service.
After a full week of caring for patients, members of the Zoe Dental team, along with volunteers, sponsors, and community partners, gave their Saturday to serve people in the Asheville community who may not otherwise have access to needed dental treatment.
That kind of service is not small. It requires time, energy, skill, coordination, and a willingness to put someone else’s needs first. This year, the impact was clear.
By the Numbers: 84 Dental Patients Cared For in One Day
During Servants of Smiles 2026, the volunteer team cared for 84 patients in a single day.
Together, volunteers provided:
- 18 cleanings
- 6 scaling / gingival treatments
- 6 debridement treatments
- 19 fluoride treatments
- 33 extractions
- 33 fillings
- 23 periapical X-rays
- 23 panoramic X-rays
- $39,923 in donated dentistry
The numbers matter because they show the scope of care provided. But they are only part of the story.
Behind every cleaning, filling, extraction, X-ray, and treatment was a team of people choosing to serve with care, patience, and purpose.

Zoe Dental Volunteers, Sponsors, and Community Partners Made the Day Possible
Servants of Smiles is not just a Zoe Dental event. It is a community effort.
This year, team members showed up after an already full week. Some came even when they were not sure they could. Some stayed longer than planned. Others worked steadily throughout the day to help the event run smoothly and make sure patients felt cared for.
Volunteers from outside the office also stepped in to serve alongside the Zoe Dental team, bringing their time and skill to support something bigger than one practice. A special thank-you goes to Dr. Rian A. Cho and Dr. Derrick Nelson of Southern Dental Implants & Oral Surgery for generously volunteering their surgical expertise and serving with such care.
That kind of service cannot be forced. It comes from character.
Why Servants of Smiles Matters to the Asheville Community
Servants of Smiles exists because access to dental care is not simple for everyone.
For one day, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners came together to help meet a real need with donated dental care, practical support, and personal attention.
At its best, dentistry is not only about treatment. It is also about dignity, service, and caring for the people right in front of us.
Thank You to the Servants of Smiles 2026 Volunteer Team!
An event like Servants of Smiles does not happen because of one person. It happens because many people choose to give what they can.
To every volunteer, sponsor, and community partner who helped make the 13th Annual Servants of Smiles possible: thank you.
Thank you for giving your time, your energy, your skill, and your compassion.
Zoe Dental is grateful to serve Asheville and thankful for everyone who helped make Servants of Smiles 2026 possible.
