Cory Kuyk, DMD

I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where my love for science and helping others first inspired me to pursue a career in dentistry. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Clemson University’s Calhoun Honors College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During my time at Clemson, I created a study abroad program in Guatemala focused on providing oral health education to underserved rural communities, which deepened my passion for making quality dental care more accessible.

I went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). While at UAB, I contributed to research published in the Head & Neck: Journal of the Sciences and Specialties of the Head and Neck, reflecting my commitment to continued learning and clinical excellence.

Today, I focus on comprehensive and esthetic dentistry, helping patients feel confident not only in their smiles, but in their overall experience at the dentist. I am Invisalign certified and have advanced training in treating temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), including trigger point and neurotoxin injections for pain relief. I also participated in 3M’s Filtek Matrix composite veneer testing, helping refine techniques designed to create beautiful, natural-looking smiles.

Giving back to the community remains incredibly important to me. I regularly volunteer with the Blue Ridge Free Dental Clinic, ABCCM Dental Clinic, and NC Mission of Mercy. I am also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), and Buncombe County Dental Society.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find me exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina, running local trails, or relaxing at Lake Summit with my husband, Daniel, and our dog, Saluda.
